Kirkcaldy, the ‘Lang Toun’ with its famous Links Market has a population of almost 60,000 people. It is the birthplace of Adam Smith ‘The Father of Modern Economics’, Victorian Engineer Thomas Carlyle and child poet ‘Pet Marjory’.
